Form Follows Function
Rooted in the principle articulated by Louis Sullivan, that “form follows function”, the function of a space is treated as a primary driver at the outset of our design process. Each project begins with a clear understanding of how spaces will be used, considering patterns of movement, use, and natural light. By prioritising function from the outset, the design responds directly to the needs of its users, giving shape to the architectural form.

About Us
Marmalade Architects is an architectural design practice with offices in London and Reading. We specialise in the design and delivery of refined, high-end residential homes, taking projects from concept through to technical development, tender, and construction as a fully coordinated service.
Peter
Director
Peter is a Chartered Architect and the founding director, with strong experience in design development and technical delivery. He holds qualifications from Sheffield, Newcastle, and Westminster Universities and works closely with project teams to ensure a collaborative and coordinated approach to every project.
Lyn
Architect
Lyn became a registered architect in 2024 and has strong experience in design development, technical delivery, and site coordination. She brings a strong background in spatial coordination and 3D visualisation, working closely with clients and project teams to ensure clear and well-coordinated designs.

Human Resources
Freddie oversees Human Resources with a focus on team morale, daily wellbeing, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, bringing a calm presence to the studio alongside a proven track record in biscuit negotiation and client meet-and-greet.
